GBM drill target success buoys prospectivity of BOA’s NQ licences
The exploration spotlight continues to shine on the Charters Towers district and Drummond Basin of North Queensland.
Boadicea’s near neighbour to our Mt Carmel application and Clarke Reward project, GBM Resources has announced a maiden drill hole at its Twin Hills project delivering an impressive 162m @ 2.65g/t gold.
In its most recent announcement to the ASX, GBM Resources first two drill holes revealed outstanding results at its 309 Deposit with its flagship Twin Hills Project.
Assays showed:
309DD22001:
162m @ 2.65 g/t Au from 69m; including 16m @ 13.49 g/t gold from 187m
309DD22002:
79m @ 1.09 g/t gold from 131m; including 7m @ 4.41 g/t gold from 152m;
2m @ 21.75 g/t gold from 301m.
GBM Resources announced in its release to the ASX these outstanding results confirm:
- A large near surface, bulk mineable style gold deposit at 309 with significant highergrade intervals.
- Higher gold grades than predicted from current resource estimate which has the potential to greatly increase the grade of the resource in this area.
Discovery of new high grade mineralisation outside of the current 309 resource, highlights the potential to expand the deposit with results including 8m @ 5.76 g/t gold from 300m including 2m @ 21.75 g/t gold from 301m in hole 309DD22002.
Boadicea Managing Director Jon Reynolds is highly buoyed by these results.
“GBM’s Twin Hills project is analogous to our Mt Carmel and Clarke Reward locations.
“The Mt Carmel licence is still awaiting granting and as soon as that is granted and we have both the Clarke Reward and Mt Carmel licence to explore we will get physically on the ground in North Queensland,” Jon Reynolds said.
“We have acquired more detailed airborne geophysical mag data which is currently being examined by our geophysicist for reprocessing and interpretation.
“This will provide greater definition of the potential drill targets we aim to explore.”
