Boadicea strengthens board with experienced geologist appointed non-executive director
Proactive Investors has published the latest news of the appointment of new non-executive director Graeme Purcell to the board of Boadicea Resources.
Boadicea Resources Ltd (ASX:BOA) has appointed experienced geologist Graeme Purcell to the board as a non-executive director.
Purcell is a highly regarded geologist who has been a part of a number of important mineral discoveries within Australia and overseas.
He has broad experience in a diverse range of mineral systems including gold, base metals, and strategic minerals in various geological terranes and jurisdictions.
His experience spans the exploration spectrum from generative and grassroots through to near-mine and in-mine resource development.
Complimentary skills
Managing director Jon Reynolds said: “Graeme has a long history with Boadicea providing consulting geologist services, and with the company pivoting to exploration activities on its tenements, his skills and attributes complement those already contained within the board.”
Boadicea believes Purcell’s national and international experience with major and junior resource companies including Plutonic Resources, Homestake Mining, Barrick Gold, and Black Fire Minerals during the past 25 years has seen him gain an enviable reputation in understanding and delivering mineral discoveries in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania, and the USA.
Purcell said: “I am delighted to be joining the board at this exciting time in the company’s journey and look forward to actively contributing to the continued growth and success of Boadicea.”
IGO diamond drilling program
The company has welcomed IGO Ltd’s (ASX:IGO) planned diamond drilling program at the Orion extension within Boadicea’s Symons Hill licence in Western Australia’s Fraser Range, scheduled for May-June.
IGO will be testing for extensions from known nickel mineralisation, around 325 metres from previous drilling inside their Nova-Bollinger tenement.
The Orion intrusion has been identified by IGO as one of its highest priority prospects for hosting massive nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide mineralisation.
A hole is planned within Boadicea’s tenement to a depth of around 700 metres to follow the highly prospective Orion intrusion interpreted from 3D seismic data on IGO’s mining lease.
