BOA returns broad copper intercepts at Ricci Lee

BOA Resources (ASX:BOA) reports initial results from its maiden drilling program at the Ricci Lee copper prospect in Western Australia.

The latest Mining.com News reports the company has received assays from the first six of 46 reverse circulation (RC) holes completed at Ricci Lee, with all holes returning copper mineralisation.

Results include 14m @ 2.49% copper (Cu) from 122m, including 7m @ 4.6% Cu, and 15m @ 2.25% Cu from 130m.

Additional intersections returned 12m @ 1.58% Cu from 64m, including 3m @ 3.38% Cu and 2m @ 3.14% Cu; and 9m @ 1.69% Cu from 84m, including 3m @ 4.43% Cu.

Managing Director Graeme Purcell says the results support grade continuity in the southern part of the system.

“All six initial holes returned significant copper mineralisation, including broad, high-grade intersections,” Purcell notes.

“The results support grade continuity in the southern part of the system and reinforce Ricci Lee’s potential to support a maiden mineral resource.”

The company completed a 138-hole, 13,086m campaign across six priority prospects at its Neds Creek Copper Project. The program comprised 46 RC holes for 7,364m at Ricci Lee and 92 aircore holes for 5,722m across Rooneys, Blockley, Mueller, Ward, and Limestone Bore.

The RC program tested the interpreted mineralised structure over 640m of strike and about 220m vertically, on 80m lines with 40m hole spacing.

Ricci Lee sits 2km south-west of the Thaduna copper deposit in the same stratigraphic and structural setting. Thaduna hosts a mineral resource estimate of 4.1 million tonnes @ 2.5% Cu for 103,000 tonnes contained copper.

BOA owns a 49% interest in Neds Creek and operates it. Subject to shareholder approval on 12 October 2026, the company proposes to acquire 100% of Neds Creek, including the Thaduna and Green Dragon copper deposits.

Samples have been submitted to the Intertek (LSE:ITRK) laboratory in Maddington, with results from the remaining 40 Ricci Lee holes and aircore drilling pending. The company expects a continuous flow of results into the December quarter of 2026.

BOA Resources is an Australian explorer advancing a portfolio of copper, lithium, nickel, and gold assets.
