BOA Resources appoints exploration manager to advance Neds Creek drilling plans
BOA Resources Ltd (ASX:BOA) has appointed mining and exploration geologist David Reid as exploration manager as it moves into an active work phase at the Neds Creek Copper Project in Western Australia.
Proactive Investors reports the appointment follows BOA’s completion of its buy-in to Neds Creek, with the company flagging nine drill-ready targets for a drilling campaign in Q2 CY2026.
“BOA wholeheartedly welcomes David to the team. His appointment significantly strengthens BOA’s technical capability at an important time for the company. His direct experience leading exploration at Neds Creek provides us with a headstart as we embark on drilling with an aim to build an economic copper resource,” BOA executive chair Cath Norman said.
High-level experience
Reid has more than 35 years’ exploration experience across Western Australia and internationally, including senior operational roles spanning underground and open-cut mining from feasibility through commissioning and production.
He also brings prior Neds Creek experience, having worked on the project as exploration manager at Ventnor Resources.
“I am pleased to be joining BOA following its acquisition of the Neds Creek project. Having previously led exploration programs in the area, I believe the project presents strong exploration potential and I look forward to advancing it in a disciplined and systematic manner,” Reid said.
BOA is advancing technical work ahead of drilling, including a machine learning targeting exercise that is integrating historical geological, geochemical and geophysical datasets.
The company expects the targeting outcomes to help identify additional potential mineralised zones, prioritise existing targets and inform the design of final drilling programs at Neds Creek.
