BOA locks in maiden Neds Creek drilling as Ricci Lee copper target takes priority

BOA Resources Ltd (ASX:BOA) has signed drilling contracts and secured approvals for its maiden program at the Neds Creek Copper Project in Western Australia, with a 7,500-metre reverse circulation campaign expected to begin in early August 2026.

Proactive Investors reports, heritage surveys have been completed and the Programme of Works approvals received for the planned 53-hole program, clearing the principal requirements ahead of mobilisation.

The campaign will begin at the advanced Ricci Lee prospect, where BOA aims to test extensions to known high-grade copper mineralisation and generate sufficient drilling density to support a maiden mineral resource estimate.

Ricci Lee targeted for resource definition

Ricci Lee comprises a mineralised structure extending for about 500 metres within the Thaduna Formation, around two kilometres southwest of the Thaduna Copper Deposit.

Historical drilling has demonstrated continuity of high-grade mineralisation, with the deepest reverse circulation hole returning separate intersections of 5 metres at 3.48% copper and 10 metres at 5.12% copper at approximately 200 metres vertical depth.

The prospect remains open along strike to the north and south, as well as at depth.

BOA considers Ricci Lee a geological analogue of Thaduna because it occurs within the same stratigraphy and structural setting. Thaduna hosts a JORC mineral resource of 4.1 million tonnes at 2.5% copper for 103,000 tonnes of contained copper.

Broader Neds Creek campaign

BOA’s first phase of exploration will comprise 7,500 metres of reverse circulation drilling and a further 7,500 metres of aircore drilling across known structurally controlled copper targets.

Beyond Ricci Lee, the 2026 program is expected to include drilling at Rooney’s and four additional priority prospects.

Managing director Graeme Purcell said the program represented the first step toward expanding BOA’s copper inventory to an economically meaningful scale.

“We’re well funded to execute our drilling and other exploration activities, and we look forward to getting this drill program under way, with Ricci Lee as our initial priority,” he said.

Growing copper position in the Murchison

The Neds Creek Project covers approximately 1,378 square kilometres of prospective tenure in Western Australia’s Murchison district.

BOA has also announced the acquisition of the Thaduna and Green Dragon copper deposits, which have a combined mineral resource of 5.3 million tonnes at 2.3% copper for 121,000 tonnes of contained copper.

The acquisitions, alongside the company’s pipeline of advanced prospects, provide BOA with an established resource base and multiple opportunities for further growth.
