Boadicea welcomes IGO’s exploration update on Symons Hill licence
Boadicea Resources Ltd (ASX:BOA) Managing Director Jon Reynolds says IGO’s latest drill hole assays demonstrate an intrusion within the licence’s Orion prospect is fertile for magmatic nickel-copper sulphides.
In the interview with Andrew Scott of Proactive Investors, Jon Reynolds says the very first hole targeting the Orion chonolith within Boadicea’s Symons Hill licence skimmed the northwest margin of the chonolith intercepting 2.63m @ 1,122ppm nickel and 480ppm copper.
“But because it skimmed it margin, this is interpreted to not be representative of the Orion intrusion, and it remains very much fertile for nickel accumulation,” Jon Reynolds says.
IGO and its technical team are very much encouraged by the results of the hole.
“It confirms their understanding that the chonolith is improving to the northeast and into the Symons Hill licence. They have confirmed they are planning further drilling of Orion.”
IGO has other work planned for Boadicea’s Symons Hill licence including doing more 3D modelling of a MLEM EM survey that has been completed.
Furthermore 89 aircore holes have been completed which has picked up anomalous nickel results but more importantly identified two mafic trends which are a key indicator for potential nickel accumulation.
“This is leading to delivery of targeted additional drilling within the Symons hill licence.
“This is a significant project for IGO and is being advanced at a significant pace because of the attractiveness of the Orion prospect,” Jon Reynolds says.
